When you think of an affordable and trustworthy SUV, you think of Telluride. Kia’s Telluride has garnered a handful of awards and if those aren’t enough to convince you then I don’t know what will. Just joking! You have every right to inspect.

Just like our body parts, every part of vehicle matters and it’s good to educate yourself. Oh and speaking of parts, it’s always best to do a car parts price comparison before buying. That way you’d know what to buy from where.

Presenting a 2020 Kia Telluride review where we are going to touch on subjects like features and specifications along with the good and bad aspects. The 2020 Kia Telluride’s price starts from $31,890. Telluride comes with 4 models- LX, S, EX, and SX.

Exterior Features

Kia Telluride 2020 is one hell of an SUV packed with outstanding exterior features. The body paint ranges offer up to 6 shades- Snow White Pearl, Everlasting Silver, Gravity Grey, Ebony Black, Sangri.

Talking about the wheels, Kia Telluride consists of 18 to 20 inches (depending on the models) alloy wheels. The headlights are auto light controlled and thus gives its driver the convenience of having the headlights adjust to the level of outdoor light.

Interior Features

The 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat allows you to give your lumber a rest during the ride. When it comes to seating arrangements Kia Telluride can’t say no to people. This is because the specious SUV can carry up to 8 people at once. The seat trim features standard Sofino leatherette with not two or three but nine shade ranges.

Safety Features

Safety is a major concern for car owners. Keeping this in mind the makers of Kia have designed Telluride. It comes with a long list of safety features including Forward Collision-Avoidance, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, Safety Airbags and many more. They introduced a few additions to the safety measures. These are as follows:

  • Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM)

The available Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) display sits in the car’s dashboard and shows the driver a live feed of their right blind spots. The Blind Spot Collision Avoidance help by assisting you in changing directions during detection.

  • Highway Driving Assist (HDA)

Highway Driving Assist makes the car adjust the vehicle’s cruising speed to match the front vehicle and thus avoid a potential tailgating.

  • Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

SEA of Safe Exit Assist will countermand any attempts of deactivating the Electronic Child Safety Lock until it’s safe for your rear passengers to open and exit the vehicle. This is a great attempt to keep your child safe.

  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

What this does is scanning for the oncoming obstacles. The system can detect potential hazard that’s in front of you and activates audio and visual warnings.

Kia offers a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program consisting:

  • 10-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty
  • 5-year or 60,000-mile limited basic warranty
  • 5-year or 100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty
  • 5-year or 60,000-mile roadside assistance plan

The Brilliant Aspects

Once you get past the look and enter inside, you’d be surprised by how spacious and roomy the interior is. The front seats along with the captain’s chair in the second row are warmed and cooled at a level of passengers’ comfort zone. One thing I really like is that the price range is modest and wouldn’t require selling your soul to the devil.

The display mounted in the dashboard provides a clear view while you drive. A Harman Kardon stereo, a 360-degree parking camera are installed to give a luxury feel to the driver and the passengers. Also, I’d like to add the interior trim colors are aesthetically pleasing!

Telluride’s performance on road is remarkable. The tires, steering, and handling act smoothly even when you ride on bumpy roads. Despite the size of this monster SUV, its movement is agile and that’s one of the best features of Telluride. The all-wheel-drive and active terrain response system handle poor weather conditions and gives excellent gripping. There’s a reason why Telluride has garnered praises and awards!

The Underwhelming Aspects

With so many positive criteria, Telluride is already a star! However, some things are not flattering when seen from a car enthusiast’s perspective – the powertrain. The horsepower is comparatively low (291 hp) than the other manufacturer’s models. If you’re used to a turbocharged engine, then I’m sorry to say but the Telluride will disappoint you massively.

Another big oh-no moment for Telluride is the increase in demand for the Telluride SX top-trim. What’s wrong with that? Well, with a growing demand it means that you are not going to get it that easily. The prices for the trim can be charged higher than the original the price. If you can spend a few extra cash, you can own one as well with no problem. If your local shops run out of trims, you can check for aftermarket car parts online.

Final Thoughts

If you manage to overlook the powertrain system, owning a Kia Telluride is a sheer pleasure. So, don’t think much, just buy it. Bought it already? Congrats! But what about car parts? No fear cause you can get a discount on auto body parts at a lot of shops whenever you make a purchase.
